Two of Turkiye’s most famous mountains are active volcanoes: Mt. Erciyes, 3917 metres high in Kayseri, Cappadocia, Central Anatolia, and Mt. Ararat, 5137 metres high in the East.The Rize-Kaçkar (3932 metres) in the eastern Black Sea region and the Niğde-Aladağ (3756 metres) in the Central Taurus range are two additional well-known mountain ranges.
