Between superb lunar landscapes, vertiginous descents, preserved forests and welcoming villages, Cappadocia is a unique and still wild universe… At the rhythm of balanced and sustained stages, your mountain bikes will take you to the most secret sites that remain to be discovered.
INDICATIVE ITINERARY
1. >-ANKARA – AVANOS
Reception at the airport and transfer to Avanos by minibus. Settle into the small hotel (pension).
2. AVANOS-VALLEY DERVAMANLI-ZINDANÖNÜ-GÜLLÜDERE-PASABAG
Warm-up day through the valleys of Dereyamanli, Zindanönü, Gûllüdere and Pasabag valleys in the heart of the spectacular landscapes of Cappadocia. Night in pension.
3. UCHISAR-IBBRAHIMPASA-ORTAHISAR
We begin our 6-day raid: the Baglidere valley and the high fairy chimneys of the region, the rocky peak of Uchisar, the semi-troglodyte village of Ibrahimpasa then the rocky peak of Ortahisar. Bivouac.
4. ORTAHISAR-GOLGOLI-SITE ARCHANGELOS
We arrive at the troglodyte site of Golgoli (then descend. Picnic at the edge of the water. We continue to the Archangelos site in the middle of fruit trees Bivouac near the monastery.
5. ARCHANGELOS-TASKINPASA-TAGAR-OUED YESILÖZ
Our mountain bikes take us to the unusual village of Taskinpasa with its medresa and its magnificent mosque. We climb to the plateau of Hodul then take a small path before reaching the troglodyte village of Tagar. Night at the edge of the Yesilöz wadi.
6. YESILÖZ-TOPUZ-SARIHAN-DAMSA-SARIHIDIR WADI
Crossing the troglodyte village of Karacaören to reach the Topuz plateau (for a superb view of the whole region. Following the Silk Road, we arrive at the 13th century Seljuk caravanserai Sarihan. Then following the Damsa wadi we arrive at the Kizillirmak river and the troglodyte village of Sarihidir.Night at the inhabitant.
7. SARIHIDIR-MOUNT IDIS
We take the village bridge to cross the river and go through the vineyards towards Mount Ldis (1600m) which offers us magnificent views. Return to Avanos and end of the raid. Night in pension (25km).
8. MOUNT IDIS-ANKARA > Back
Transfer to Ankara airport
